SAMPLE POLICY WORK

incidents are reviewed with a post-incident debriefing to incorporate lessons learned and update protocols.

c. Evacuation Procedures Evacuation procedures are a critical component of our emergency preparedness strategy. Clear, accessible, and practiced routes ensure the safety of every individual during an evacuation.

General Evacuation Guidelines

• All facilities have designated primary and secondary evacuation routes clearly marked on all building maps and posted in common areas. • Accessibility adaptations ensure that individuals with disabilities receive priority assistance. • Evacuation drills are conducted regularly (at least quarterly), with documented participation and performance reviews. • Assembly points are predetermined in safe locations outside the facility, away from potential hazards like power lines or chemical storage areas.

Evacuation Procedures by Scenario

For Fire Emergencies:

1.

Activate the nearest fire alarm pull station.

2. Evacuate immediately via the primary route; if blocked, follow the secondary escape route. 3. Assist individuals with mobility challenges using evacuation chairs if available. 4. Proceed to the designated assembly point and await headcount. 5. A designated fire warden conducts a roll call for compliance and safety validation.

For Tornado Emergencies:

1. Upon hearing the tornado warning, all personnel proceed immediately to the safest interior room (safe room) in the building. 2. Do not use stairs or hallways with windows. 3. For those in higher floors, move to the lowest level possible; consider moving under heavy furniture if safe. 4. Stay in place until the “all - clear” signal is given by the emergency coordinator. 5. A designated tornado monitor records attendance and notifies the Incident Response Team.

For Flood Emergencies:
