Medical Emergencies

Medical Emergencies: • Purpose: To address sudden health crises promptly while minimizing risk and maintaining a continuum of care. • Procedures: – Medical emergencies can include severe allergic reactions, acute injuries, or sudden deterioration in chronic conditions. – The protocol requires in-the-moment assessment by responding staff, immediate notification of designated emergency medical services (EMS), and activation of the on- site first aid response. – Designated medical personnel, such as registered nurses or on-call physicians, are alerted immediately. – Communication with the client’s family and emergency contact list is initiated through a secure, direct phone line or digital alert system. – All medical emergencies require that detailed incident reports are filled out promptly and submitted to the Quality Assurance Team. – Regular drills simulate various scenarios to test the effectiveness of emergency response times and protocols. – Emergency crash carts and medical supplies are regularly inspected and maintained as per protocol.

Security Threats

Security and Intruder Events: •
